Good word! Definitely from the man side, you need to have core values to live by and develop the ability to say yes or no based on those core values... living outside your core values creates an inauthentic life! Like the Bible says “let your yes be yes and your no be no.”
This also can overflow into other areas of life. The world is full of “yes-men” and that’s a major reason of why society is where it’s at. Masculine men stand up for their beliefs and morals. They don’t cower and go with the flow. Men shouldn’t be afraid to stand up. Yes, standing up for your beliefs and morals is hard, but life is hard. Choose your hard.
Exactly. If you can’t stand up as a man in your life, you can stand up to her. If you can stand up to her, you can stand up in your life. The two are related.
This reminded me so much of my ex, he was a yes-man and it drove me up the wall. He was always so worried about being liked by everyone that he couldn’t even stand up for me.
I just have a experience with my girlfriend a few hours ago.
I told her to start drinking more water (because I love her and is good for her), she used to drink 1L everyday, and suddenly stopped doing it.
Minutes later she told me that she doesn't want me to cut my hair in a certain way, I answered: "NO", "don't talk about it again"
Most of the time I'm really charming, I tell her how beautiful, she looks, compliment her in multiple ways but I always tell her the things/behaviors I don't like, and how I want things to be.
this is so good. i’m learning so much here, thank you.
from my experience, the nice charming guys are usually hiding something. so now when i meet a charming guy, it’s a red flag for me. and yes, definitely appears desperate and weak to me.

Well said Todd. More men need to understand this.

Be careful to not write off a guy that is actually just charming! Glad you are getting value here, Tatyana.
